![]() ![]() Year-round, Olympic Sightseeing is available free of charge through a self-guided interpretive tour. Each year, races for all levels from beginners to the elite of sliding athletes, such as World Cups and World Championships are held on the Olympic legacy venue. The facility is also a National Training Centre and popular training and competition venue for athletes from all over the world. Public visitors can try Whistler's most unique activities, passenger bobsleigh (winter and summer) and public skeleton (winter). Aspiring athletes can join "Learn to Slide" programming for all skill levels in bobsleigh, skeleton and luge within the BC Sliding Development Centre. ![]() Located above Whistler Village on the side of Blackcomb Mountain, the Whistler Sliding Centre is a world-class bobsleigh, skeleton and luge facility. Our athletes train & compete on ice for six months each year! The winter season 2022/23 is over now, we'll be back sliding on ice starting in October 2023! BOOK TRACK TIME Luge, skeleton & bobsleigh sport programming for all skill levels is available from October to March. Passenger Bobsleigh & Public Skeleton: Will be available again in the 2023/24 winter season (public rides from December until April).Summer Bobsleigh: Will start on July 1, 2023, booking is open now!.Grab a map at Guest Services, take the free self-guided interpretive tour and learn about our sports & athletes! Skeleton is extremely similar to luge the key difference being that riders lay front-down, face-first on the sled. In the off-season, public access for sightseeing is possible & free, Mondays through Fridays, 9:00am to 4:00pm. Our on-ice sliding operations finished on April 9, and we will reopen for Summer Bobsleigh on July 1. Until then, we are open for free sightseeing in our public areas!
